Community Association

Great Hollands Community Association (GHCA) was set up in April 1999 and became a charitable organisation in September 2010.

The Great Hollands Community Association manages and runs Great Hollands Community Centre for the benefit of the local community and residents.

As well as providing resources to advance education, build community cohesion and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure. The GHCA aims to improve the quality of life for the residents of Great Hollands.

  • We hold quarterly Community Litter Picks.
  • We produce and deliver the quarterly Great Hollands Matters magazine to every house in the Great Hollands community.
  • We hold quarterly Quiz nights when about 40 residents come for supper and fun.
  • We organise Community Forum meetings when councillors, local police and residents come together to discuss issues of concern relevant to Great Hollands.

All of the above are funded by the Community Association, organised and enacted entirely by volunteers.

We have regular hirers using the halls, including two churches, the Great Hollands Youth Club, Mother and Toddler Group, the friendship Group, Nimble Fingers, the Art Group, a dance school, a theatre group, Slimming World, a dog training group, Thai Chi, yoga, chair yoga and back to fitness sessions.
